Institutional Self Study provided to WASC (Team Visit: November 2-4, 2004).

2005


January 31                        

ACCJC response: “acted to issue a Warning and asked that College of Marin correct the deficiencies noted. The college is required to complete a Progress Report by March 15, 2005. That report will be followed by a visit by Commission representatives...The accredited status of the institution continues during the warning period. However, the institution’s accreditation will not be reaffirmed until the conditions which warranted the warning are removed.”

Recommendations: “required to take prompt action to address” 1, 2, and 5; “also requesting significant progress be shown on” 3 and 4.

March 15 

COM submits Progress Report (Team Visit: March 24, 2005).

June 28

ACCJC response: “the report was accepted with the requirement that the college complete a progress report by October 15, 2005…During this period the college will remain on Warning.”

2006

ACCJC response: “took action to accept the report, continue the Warning Status, and require that the college complete a Focused Midterm Report on issues of Commission special concern.”

2008


January 31

ACCJC response: “took action to accept the Focused Midterm Report…also acted to place College of Marin on Probation effective immediately and to require the college submit a Progress Report by April 1, 2008… The accredited status of the institution continues during the probation period.”

2014


February 7

ACCJC response: “Based on the College’s Report and documentation submitted, the College has met the Standards associated with Recommendations 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9…The College of Marin will submit its Self Examination of Educational Quality and Institutional Effectiveness in preparation for the next comprehensive review in fall 2016.”

December 17

ACCJC sends notice that the comprehensive visit shifted to spring 2017.


2017


January 18

COM submits Institutional Self Evaluation Report 2017 (Team Visit: March 6-9).

June 23

ACCJC response: “the Commission acted to reaffirm accreditation for seven years and to require a Follow-Up Report in 18 months on the issues identified in the team’s findings of noncompliance” (due by October 1, 2018).
